Nola Convention Restoration

Major Conference Center Hurricane Damage Restoration

Following the destructive landfall of Hurricane Ida, a Category 4 hurricane impacting New Orleans & Southeast Louisiana, a major conference center experienced wind-driven water intrusion and roof damage. As we had already mobilized our fleet to the region in anticipation of the event, Cotton was able to deploy emergency response crews to the location at a moment’s notice and begin them on the path to recovery.

Our crews urgently proceeded with remediation protocols in order to facilitate the client’s goals of hosting a large event at the end of the month utilizing all prime exhibit space. We began by moisture mapping the extent of the damage across the entire facility space and provided temporary construction and roofing to maintain operational continuity, before ultimately culminating in an interior demolition and rebuild of affected spaces within 30 days. Throughout the timeline, our comprehensive turnkey service ensured the convention center stayed open to enable municipal and state agencies to continue with operational assignments in service of their community during the crisis.
